Seaver L. Soon, MD
I was born and raised in Canada, where the values of health care access, quality, and a patient-doctor relationship centered around prevention, communication, and shared decision-making was forged. My practice philosophy centers on using cutting-edge clinical knowledge to do the best for my patients, developing partnerships with other physicians, and providing a superior patient experience.
Why should you trust me?
I have over a decade of experience learning, performing and teaching other physicians what I do, and I am committed to staying up-to-date as medical knowledge continues to evolve.
I graduated summa cum laude from McMaster University’s Bachelor of Arts and Science Programme, and received my Doctor of Medicine degree from the same institution. After a research scholarship took me to the Department of Dermatology at Stanford University School of Medicine, I developed an interest in skin and its impact on quality of life. I completed my dermatology residency at Emory University, where I served as chief resident, followed by a one-year fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery, facial reconstruction, laser and cosmetic dermatology at Scripps Clinic, where I also received training in facial plastic surgery. For 11 years, I served in the Division of Dermatology & Dermatologic Surgery, and on the teaching faculty for the Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Cutaneous Oncology and Cosmetic Dermatology fellowship at Scripps Clinic and Scripps Green Hospital.
I am an active member of the following professional societies:
American Academy of Dermatology, Fellow
American College of Mohs Surgery, Fellow
American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, Fellow
